Body grooming is the act of hair removal, shaving styling or trimming of hair of the body, it is not limited to the female body alone, even men try to keep the tufts of hair all over their body under control. Listed below are some tips that can help you do that Starting with the basics for better body grooming, shaving should be done after a shower or in it, to keep the skin tensed for a smoother shave, less irritation. The steam helps to soften the skin, hair and it will keep your pores open, the steam will also soothe any skin irritation you might have due to shaving. When you groom under the shower make sure that you use shaving foam and the cutter head of your shaver is wet. Shaving wet is much easier than shaving dry, and when you are done you can then apply lotion to the shaved areas.

Armpits

  • First, moisturize armpit and remove traces of deodorant
  • Apply shaving cream
  • Shave with upward strokes
  • Flush armpits with cold water
  • Pat your armpits dry with soft towel instead of rubbing them and causing irritation
  • Don’t apply products containing alcohol

Body

  1. Wash skin with warm water
  2. Apply shaving cream
  3. Don’t stroke an area more than twice to reduce skin irritation
  4. When finished, clean chest with soap and water
  5. Exfoliate chest to avoid ingrown hairs

Legs

  1. Wet legs with warm water
  2. Apply shaving cream
  3. Start shaving at front and slowly workaround
  4. Pat legs dry with towel 5. Apply lotion to avoid razor burn

Down under

  1. Take a shower
  2. Apply shaving cream
  3. First shave “with the grain”, then against it
  4. In very sensitive areas make sure the skin is stretched to avoid injuries
  5. Rinse, dry and moisturize your skin
  6. Apply talcum powder to keep area itch-free

I am sure that you must have tried it, now you see that shaving wet is much more preferable to shaving dry, because the water softens your body hair, and makes it easier for the razor to glide over your skin.
